Hello and welcome to the Scouting Family, as a parent of a child in the 1st Basingstoke Scout Group you are an important part of our group and we would like to say a big THANK YOU to you for your time, involvement and encouragement in your child's Scouting experience.

This area is dedicated to providing you with all the answers and information you might find yourself needing.  If you have a question that is not answered here please ask us by either speaking to a leader or using the 'Contact Us' section of the website.  There is no question too small or silly so please don't be afraid to ask.  With your help we want to make sure our website is as usefull and user friendly as possible.

We have seperated the information into topics and manageable chunks for you, to find out more information on any of the topics listed below please just click on the text. We have also attached the Groups Parents Handbook which includes Usefull information about our group, Subs fees, Where the scouting supplies shop is, A gift aid form for tax payers and much more. Just download the file & print out if desired, it has been set up as a double sided booklet.

There are lots of opportunities for parents to get involved & help within the 1st Basingstoke Group, no matter what your skills are or how much / little time you can offer there are lots of things you can help out with.  As a Group we are very keen and gratefull for any parents who can help out & support the group's activities.  Just ask a Leader or contact the GSL.
